Rodolfo Gomez is a world-class Olympic Marathon coach known in the world of running for being the mentor of many very successful elite athletes such as:
-German Silva (2-times 1st place in the NYC Marathon of 1994-95)
-Andres Espinoza (1st place in the NYC Marathon 1993)
-Adriana Fernandez (1st place in NYC 1999, Houston1996, and Las Vegas 2005 Marathons)
-Kenjiro Jitsui (1st place in Tokyo Marathon 1996)
-Rolando Vera (1st place in Seoul Marathon 1996)
-Raul Pacheco (1st place in Mexico City Marathon 2014)
-Gladis Tejeda (1st place in Mexico City Marathon 2014)
-Christian Pacheco (Gold Medal in Marathon in Panamerican Games Lima 2021)
These are just some of the athletes that Coach Rodolfo Gomez trained. As an athlete himself, he was 1st place in the Golden Marathon of Athens, as well as Rotterdam and Oregon all in the year 1982. The year before he won the Tokyo Marathon in 1981. As an Olympic marathon runner, he was in 6th place in the Moscow Olympic Games in 1980. He also was NCAA cross-country national champion in 1977 and 3 times All-American 1977-79 while studying at UTEP.
